A new paper on outcomes of adolescent depression from Kiyuri Naicker, a PhD student in the APEAL Lab, was published this month in the Journal of Adolescent Health. The paper, entitled “Social, demographic, and health outcomes in the 10 years following adolescent depression”, showed that depressed adolescents aged 16-17 are at high risk for continuing physical and mental health problems in early adulthood, and rarely have the social support to help them through this stressful period.
